About the role
We have exciting opportunities for Principal Device Engineers (m/f/d) to join us on our fantastic GaN journey as we incorporate this wide band gap technology to enable more efficient energy solutions, from increasing mileage on electric vehicles to improving battery charge.
We are seeking open-minded, unconventional thinkers with a passion for problem-solving and the drive to make tomorrow’s vision today’s reality.
As a Principal Device Engineer (m/f/d), you will have a choice of specialisation in characterisation and test or design and simulation, and you can be based in our offices in Munich, Hamburg, or Manchester with remote working also considered from selected locations within Europe.

What You Will Do

• Lead power device simulation and design; or device characterization activities
• Identify and drive towards pragmatic simulation and design approaches or test methods that will positively impact the development cycle and our customer requirements
• Consider all product aspects from design-to-manufacturing to effective cost structure
• Deliver concise summaries, conclusions, and influence development programs

What You Will Need

• PhD or equivalent in Experimental Physics, Electronics Engineering, or a similar discipline
• In-depth knowledge of power semiconductor devices, ideally wide band gap GaN HEMTs
• Proven track record of accomplishment in an engineering or technology management role
• Ability to communicate complex concepts and requirements clearly and to influence stakeholders at all levels
