Description:
About the Role: As a Principal House Officer or Registrar - Gastroenterology, you will be responsible for providing quality medical care to gastroenterology patients under the supervision and guidance of consultant medical staff and will develop high level skills in the diagnosis and management of one or more of the following areas: Gastroenterology patients including General Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Hepatology and/or Endoscopy. Key responsibilities include:
- Management of patients admitted to the Gastroenterology Unit, under the supervision and guidance of the Unit’s Duty Consultant.
- Provision of clinical and administrative support for medical services undertaken in clinical units of the hospital.
- Interview, examine, carry out procedures and arrange appropriate investigations and treatment of medical patients, and to ensure any such actions are properly documented.
- Supervise and advise junior medical staff and students attached to the Department of Gastroenterology.
