The role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resource practitioner to join our team. As a Principal Human Resource Advisor, you will be responsible for leading a team to support the provision of strategic and operational HR advice for the Department of Health. Our team has a focus on providing advice on broad HR issues including employee relations (ER), industrial relations (IR) issues and organisational change. You will provide advice, coaching and support to leaders and employees on a range of human resource matters and support the resolution of complex case management workplace issues. These roles work in partnership with other human resource teams to meet the organisation’s objectives in delivering high quality health care through an engaged workforce.
This is a team leadership role and is the pivotal connector between the business and HR Advisory Services. Please see the attached role description for key responsibilities.
The successful person
- Will exhibit excellent verbal and written communication, consultation and negotiation skills that see you and your team provide legislatively sound advice to a range of health-based clients across multiple business units across the State.
- Have demonstrated expertise in working in a human resource environment and have a focus on developing a high-performance culture within the team, including a focus on continuous improvement, efficiency, and excellence in service delivery.
- Will have proven their leadership and ability to influence senior management in the implementation of HR management processes within a large multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed organisation.
- Will have demonstrated expertise the delivery of strategic and operational HR leadership in accordance with awards, legislation, standards, regulations, directives, policies and guidelines with a focus on business improvement.
