Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

  • Delivering discipline specific engineering services that meet Worley, its clients, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and establish and maintain good working relationships within Worley, with its clients and other stakeholders while proactively resolving any discrepancies between Worley and its client’s requirements.
  • Initiate, manage and supervise engineering resources on projects to meet project requirements on time and within budget.
  • Ensure the project scopes are clear and the changes comply with project change management processes, as well as provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions and conduct technical bid evaluations.
  • Prepare and oversee project documentation such as datasheets, scopes of work, work instructions, input to and production of detailed design and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, reports, and participate in relevant meetings and follow required quality procedures (e.g., Checking of technical deliverables).
  • Design for appropriate levels of risk and be conscious of HSE input to all elements of the design.
  • Provide technical support, supervision and advice to the discipline team and project teams; participate in peer reviews; and consult with relevant resources as required.
  • Identify issues and problems; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance if required.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in the discipline.

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess a combination of work experience, skills and or qualifications in the following areas:

  • A recognised engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent with eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia.
  • Substantial technical and practical Brownfields experience in the relevant discipline in the same or similar industry, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams. Hydrocarbons/LNG industry experience (highly desired).
  • Extensive experience in managing diverse teams across multiple locations to deliver project outcomes (highly desired) including a keen interest in managing and coaching others to develop a high performing team.
  • Strong experience in client, inter-discipline, and construction interface management
