POSITION INFORMATION
Shoal Bay Public School is part of the Tomaree Learning Community, situated in Port Stephens on Worimi Country. It has an enrolment of 272 with 46 Aboriginal students. The students come from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds resulting in a FOEI of 100.
Shoal Bay Public School provides K-6 students with quality educational programs delivered by a team of highly qualified, dedicated teachers and support staff. The school operates in partnership with parents and the wider community. It has large, attractive grounds to complement the excellent learning facilities. Strong emphasis is placed on explicit teaching in literacy and numeracy.
Students are provided with a wide range of extra curricula activities in technology, creative arts, public speaking, environmental programs, music and sport. The school offers inclusive programs and caters for students from different cultural backgrounds. Parents are encouraged to be active participants in school activities and their child’s education. Effective and extensive support programs are developed for children identified with additional needs through the learning support team.
