Fidelity’s Enterprise Infrastructure Data Services team is looking for a groundbreaking data engineer who wants to deliver transformative IT data services. We are a dynamic group of engineers looking to use emerging models of data lake technologies to rapidly improve the efficiency and experience of Fidelity’s analytic and data scientist teams. We are working in continuous harmony across multiple IT areas to change the way our IT associates work and deliver.

THE EXPERTISE AND SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or mathematics.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and data science teams to research, build and improve efficient AI solutions.
  • Design, develop, and research Machine Learning systems.
  • Design and develop complex data integration for ML models
  • Select appropriate data sets before performing data collection and data modeling
  • Advanced data manipulation languages and frameworks (Python/Pandas, Java, SQL)
  • Good programming skills in python
  • Enriching existing ML frameworks and libraries
  • Knowledge of streaming technologies (Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink, and AWS Kinesis)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms – AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, EMR, EKS, Glue, Lambda)
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning platforms (SageMaker, etc.)
  • Proven ability of working with unstructured data sources
  • Identifying differences in data distribution that could affect model performance in real-world situations
  • Verifying data quality and data cleansing.
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques
  • Knowledge of cloud security integration design protocols (AWS, AZURE)
  • Experience with distributed large-scale data processing (preferably Apache Spark).
  • Basic understanding of Machine Learning projects lifecycle.
  • Experience with scaling and deploying Machine Learning models.
  • Ability to work in an Agile team structure.
  • Ability to gather customer requirements and make design decisions
  • Ability to lead and mentor the data team
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects within different contexts in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities:

The Principal Machine Learning Engineer will lead the planning, design, development and implementation of our data ecosystems for our customers so that the data scientists can run their algorithms on the data systems that are stable and highly optimized. You will update the existing systems with newer or upgraded versions of the current technologies to improve the efficiency of the ecosystem. Your role will be to deliver data centric data solutions, data integrations, and data transformation logic that meets the data science team requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to lead and mentor technical peers is required. You will be responsible to work with the Data Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Solution Architects when integrating these ML Models.
