In this role you will lead a small team which has oversight of audit, planning, reporting, risk management, secretariat duties and some administrative functions. This newly formed team consolidates existing roles, incorporating roles specialised in governance and risk management (also at the VPS 6 level).

ABOUT US
The Essential Services Commission is Victoria’s independent economic regulator of essential services supplied by a range of industries. The commission’s functions include:
- making regulatory decisions with respect to prescribed industries (including price determinations, licensing, customer protection and access disputes).
- undertaking reviews and providing advice to Ministers on a range of economic and regulatory matters.
- administering the Victorian Energy Upgrades program.

Responsibilities of the role include having oversight of:
- the development, implementation and adherence to governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for the commission.
- commission-wide reporting and planning activities.
- delivery the commission’s risk management and audit frameworks.
- secretariat functions to promote consistency in processes across the commission.
- processes for the form and manner of interaction between staff and commissioners
