The Principal Network Engineer’s role is to design and build new network architectures required to support Local Area Network (LAN), WiFi, Cellular, and Private Wireless Network (PWN). This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing LANs and Wireless Networks across the organization and as requested by our customer base. In addition, the Principal Network Engineer will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience and success with LAN, WiFi and Private Wireless Network design and implementation.
- Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
- Mobile Core, RAN, Wi-Fi 6, LTE, 5G, private networks, CBRS, RAN, EPC, Virtualization, software defined networks, ORAN, NFV, MEC, OSS/BSS, MANO Experiences are Preferred
- Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Flexible for up to 30% travel to customer sites
FORMAL EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION
- Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Engineering degree (higher preferred) and a minimum of 15 years related experience.
