The Principal or Sr Mechanical Engineer performs high and detailed level: engineering analysis, design or re-design, validation and troubleshooting of complex components for industrial airport and military equipment. Provide integration and execution support for machines, equipment and component design. Provide technical mentorship in high level analysis and design of new and modified components and subsystems in accordance with engineering standards, military standards and project scope.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and five (5) or more years of related experience. This minimum amount of experience can be flexed up or down for the right candidate.
• A passion for finding fact-based engineering solutions and an eye for emerging technical variations

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive, heavy-vehicle equipment, industrial refrigeration systems or military programs and related systems
• Experience with a high-level CAD system. Siemens NX preferred
• FMEA, FEA and CFD expertise a big plus
• Familiarity with control systems integration (PLC, HMIs, remote I/O, Modbus, BACnet, etc.) a big plus Piping design expertise with pre-bend piping
• Heat transfer and airflow design criteria understanding
• Sheet metal fabrication, weldments and frame design layout development a big plus.
