the opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to have the chance of working with a well-established engineering consultancy that specialises in the development of major projects across the UK and world, driven by a workforce of ambitious nuclear experts. In your role as Principal Piping Designer you will be responsible for the design of the piping system, ensuring that all relevant standards, instruction and specifications are met.
your duties and responsibilities will be
- Design of installable-piped systems / plant layouts that can be safely operated and maintained.
- Design of pipe supports.
- Ensuring all relevant standards, instructions and specifications are applied.
- Interfacing with other disciplines to ensure optimised design.
- Production of various deliverables e.g. Isometrics, general arrangements, support details.
- Checking of other designers’ deliverables.
you will have the following qualifications & experience
- Experienced PDMS/E3D user, particularly in piping and the production of automated isometric drawings from the 3D model.
- Over 10 years’ experience of piping design working within a highly regulated industry, 3 of which must have been gained within the nuclear industry.
- Fully conversant with UK Statutory Regulations and industry guides and standards relating to this discipline.
