Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an opportunity for a Principal Platform Engineer to be part of our Technology and Communication Services Command. The role is responsible for leading service and technical design activities related to network services including network transport security. The role provides technical support and advice on related technologies to users across multiple locations and platforms, ensuring changes to the environment including complex deployments are managed and have minimal risk to the NSWPF and its data.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:
- Understanding of IT Service Delivery processes and experience in following the best practice in IT service management, including preparation of technical documentation.
- Understanding of core network infrastructure components including WANs/LANs & routing and voice delivery.
- Experience in designing technical network solutions based on conceptual architectural blueprints.
- Practical knowledge of best practice and frameworks to ensure secure by design principles are applied to all network solutions.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to relevant stakeholders and work collaboratively with third-party service providers on solutions.
- University degree or tertiary qualification in related field with equivalent experience.
