QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems analysis and design, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong proficiency in power systems software tools and simulation techniques such as PSS/E, PSCAD, DIgSILENT, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge of grid codes, standards, and regulations relevant to wind power integration.
- Experience with wind turbine technology and control systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive power systems analysis to evaluate grid integration and performance of wind power projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize electrical systems for wind farms, ensuring compliance with grid codes and standards.
- Perform technical evaluations and feasibility studies to support project development and implementation.
- Provide expertise in power systems engineering to optimize wind turbine performance and reliability.
- Develop and implement control strategies to enhance grid stability and maximize energy production.
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies to address potential operational challenges and failures.
- Support project commissioning and testing activities, ensuring successful integration with the grid.
- Provide technical guidance and support to operational wind farms, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance.
- Stay informed about industry developments and advancements in power systems engineering, incorporating best practices into project designs and processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in technical reviews and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training as needed to support team development and knowledge transfer.
