Description:

  • 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
  • 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
  • Top-tier writing skills. Candidates must be able to write crisp content that conveys complex business and technical problems and solutions to an executive audience.

We are recruiting a Principal Product Manager - Technical for a new greenfield generative AI-based product in advertising technology (ad tech). The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more areas including machine learning/generative AI, ad tech, and media processing. The ideal candidate is also expected to have deep technical expertise in building low-latency/real-time systems at large scale. In addition to strong technical knowledge, the candidate should thrive in a fast-paced start-up like environment and be passionate about solving ambiguous problems.
    Our Principal Product Managers - Technical are responsible for end-to-end product ownership over one or more of our technical products. We expect you to dive deep into the technology from both a product and customer perspective. Customers may include developers, IT departments, or enterprise CIOs from the world’s best companies. To succeed, you will have technical acumen and a passion for both technology and business.
    From day one, you will be responsible from the inception to launch of a large scale product and have the autonomy to think strategically and make data-driven decisions to drive the generative-AI based next generation solutions for our customers. Over their careers, successful PM-Ts will be exposed to multiple businesses/products, and will grow into senior executives who independently run large business segments and organizations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Spend time with customers, scientists, partners to learn about their needs
  • Build a roadmap and define products and features that delight our customers, drive adoption, and increase usage of our services.
  • Develop new pricing models
  • Creating compelling messaging that excites executives and your customers alike
  • Perform outbound marketing and product launch activities.
  • Own the strategy to drive growth in existing and new markets.
  • Report to senior leadership on the state of the business.

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field


      • MBA or other advanced degree


        • Experience in the ad tech industry


          • Experience and/or interest in machine learning and generative AI


            • High attention to detail and the ability to lead multiple, contending priorities simultaneously

            Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $281,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
