Zalando’s newly formed Inspiration and Entertainment venture is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Product Marketing (B2C). This is a new venture at Zalando that will focus on embracing a new future, where this role will contribute to a new chapter in the evolution of online retail. You will work with product, design, and marketing teams to bring new, engaging content experiences to market. You’ll be responsible for building awareness and user driving adoption & engagement of innovative parts of our user experience and help play them out across markets, journeys, and touchpoints on- and off-platform.

WHAT THE TEAM IS LOOKING FOR

You will be responsible for driving the product marketing strategy for our tech products, ensuring partners are empowered to leverage our products to their fullest potential whilst generating excitement on new product releases.
We’re looking for a strategist and marketer with a ‘sales’ mindset who’ll function as an ambassador for the user. Combining product strategy with engaging storytelling and tactical experimentation across channels, you will lead the charge on a variety of missions across a range of business areas.

To shift product perception and user behaviour you will:

  • Translate product vision into user-ready language;
  • Design & deliver go-to-market channel strategies in partnership with marketing, partner communications and corporate communications stakeholders
  • Measure impact, experiment and improve on your tactics to ensure we ship digital experiences that get to the people who would benefit most from using them.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: You’ll conduct user and market research, write high impact internal and user-facing materials to create best-in-class, differentiated value propositions and benefits. You deeply understand (and therefore articulate) what is different, better and remarkable about a product in its market context. You will be accountable for reviewing product impact to ensure continuous improvement. When key audiences see themselves as ‘beneficiaries’ of what we have to offer, you’ll be successful.
  • Collaborate and Influence: You’ll work closely with product managers, (content & product) designers, and Category, Regional, and Performance Marketing teams. You will team up with Analytics to develop consumer growth KPIs.
  • Develop and execute: You’ll be responsible for comprehensive go-to-market strategies to launch new experiences. You will identify in-feature, cross-product, and cross-channel opportunities to inform product strategy and distribution. You’ll create product marketing assets by considering local competition with the goal to boost share of voice, transactions, subscriptions, and retention, increasing top-of-mind awareness and deepening user loyalty.
  • Experiment & Scale: You’ll dive deep into data and consumer insights to understand which parts of our user experience are most impactful (and those which are not). You will hypothesise reasons why, deliver solution designs and experiments to validate these, and work with product and marketing teams to scale impact through enhanced distribution.
