Description:

We are looking for a Principal Psychologist for a newly created post in the Luton CRHT, who will work closely with the Principal Psychologist in the Bedford CRHT. This is a fulltime post, but could be combined 0.5wte/0.5wte with a Trauma-Informed Care Training Lead role.
The CRHTs form an integral part of the Crisis pathway where people experiencing a mental health crisis are supported by a multidisciplinary team through short term support and intervention. The CRHTs liaise with other teams across the Crisis pathway as well as inpatient and community services. The Principal Psychologist in each team holds an important leadership role in contributing with psychological knowledge to the care plan, offer psychological assessments and brief interventions. The ability to work collaboratively with other professions is a central part of the post in order to provide holistic care within a biopsychosocial model.
The Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Training Lead role is an exciting new role designed to specifically support the next steps in raising awareness of TIC and to support local service leads and teams towards implementation of TIC principles and values into delivery of care. The main duties include the development, coordination and oversight of the delivery of high quality training and workshops in trauma-informed care principles for services in Beds and Luton ELFT, maintaining a strong focus on collaboration and co-production of initiatives whilst ensuring all projects understand service user, carer and staff needs and views and supporting the adoption of service-based tools to map the implementation of trauma-informed care.
Our mission is to make a positive difference to people’s lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations
