The Principal Release Train Engineer (RTE) is responsible for leading agile teams in the delivery of key Transformation programs across the Chief Data Office organization spanning cloud migration, application rationalization and enhancement. Assist the teams in delivering value, identify cross-team dependencies and economic decision making by rolling up team estimation to the program level for visibility. Foster continuous improvements via Inspect and Adapt Workshops and regularly review program boards, feature/story burndowns and burn ups to understand PI progress. RTEs communicate with stakeholders, escalate, and remove impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement. Single point of contact for the Product Owners and Project Manager and the point of escalation for the Scrum Master. Establish the annual calendars for the Program Increments and sprints, facilitate release planning readiness including support of backlog management, event coordination and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.
  • Requires 8+ years in project/program management (PMP certification a plus)
  • Experience with Data Warehousing
  • Experience with MS Azure Cloud Technology
  • SAFe Agilist Certification preferred.
  • The position requires Daily Office Presence in Dallas/Plano. No relocation assistance is provided.

Our Principal Release Train Engineer earns between $158,200.00 - $237,400.00., Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
