Description:

We are currently on the hunt assisting our client who is a leading Secondary School committed to providing excellence in education. They pride themselves on fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment for their students. As an integral part of the administrative team, the Principal’s PA / Board Secretary plays a crucial role in supporting the Principal and School Board in their strategic and operational functions.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with attendance at board meetings and functions required)
Start Date: 29 April 2024 (or by negotiation)
Location: Botany, Auckland
Salary: between $74,000 - $87,000 p.a (negotiable on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of board meetings, including scheduling, preparation of agendas and documentation, attendance, and minute-taking.
  • Maintain up-to-date board documentation, correspondence, and policies, facilitating periodic reviews and approvals.
  • Support the Principal in preparing reports, responses to correspondence, and other communications.
  • Attend essential meetings, draft accurate minutes, and diligently follow up on action items
  • Act as the liaison between the Principal and various stakeholders, including staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Manage personnel administration tasks, including recruitment processes, staff induction, and maintenance of personnel files.
  • Oversee the college’s compliance with privacy and equal employment opportunity regulations.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, event planning, and hospitality requirements as needed.
  • Handle inquiries and requests from staff, students, and the wider community in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Serve as the Returning Officer for board elections, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely communication of outcomes.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
