The Principal Data Engineer will act as the connector between engineering teams, to the delivery stakeholders, with our Customer Journey Experts and Domain Architects. You’ll play a vital role in advocating the use of Data Platforms within ING, consulting with our Business partners on using data to deliver the value for our customers.

What you’ll do …

  • Leading the team by setting high standards for quality and quantity, monitoring and maintaining productivity, working systematically and consistently achieving project goals and providing ETL solutions that support Business Information requirements in ING’s Data Platform.
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring team members and squads to build their capability.
  • Deliver end-to-end data solutions and data pipelines for the bank.
  • Design and develop ETL processes using Informatica to bank’s data model standards.
  • Manage dependencies between squads and assist in removing impediments to allow our squads to operate optimally.
