JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to manage our eCommerce platform. This role operates within our Digital Product and Technology team and is responsible for architecture and development around Mediacorp’s eCommerce product and its corresponding upstream / downstream systems.

• You must have a sharp awareness of industry landscape and emerging trends, and are keen to contribute in the process of building a long-term technology vision, deliver high quality software, and ensure system stability.
• You will actively partner with business owners, product managers, and other stakeholders to create and prioritize the product roadmap and to help refine and enhance the business strategy.
• You will be responsible for driving engineering projects and collaboration with teams comprised of senior and principal level subject matter experts.
• You must have a strong coding background and be able to navigate within an ambiguous environment across high-performance engineering and product development teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / related fields or equivalent.
• 10+ years of work with creative software product development.
• 5+ years of hands-on professional experience with Adobe Commerce solution.
• 3+ years of technical architecture experience with the proven ability to deliver complex projects.
• Experience in multiple web technologies including PHP, XML, HTML, CSS, AJAX, jQuery, JSON, RESTful web services, and solid understanding of Magento development concepts.
• Thorough functional and code level knowledge of all Magento products and all relevant commerce technologies.
• Experience in CI/CD for Adobe Commerce.
• Experience building major 3rd party systems integrations.
• Adobe Commerce certifications preferred.
• Experience in vendor management, within a complex project setup.
• Highly effective communicator (both verbal and written) with the ability to partner and engage technical and non-technical teams.
