Principal Software Engineer

The Principal Software Engineer is responsible for setting the standard for engineering excellence and being the ' go to ' person to support and guide engineers.
Be part of a supportive and dynamic team, delivering innovative products which are at the forefront of digital banking in Australia. Apply your skills in technologies to create new features and improvements throughout our technology stack, from UI to service layer, integrating with our back end systems. You will be responsible for delivery of solutions which meet the needs of our internal and external customers.
Play a key role in building a data integration platform to support engineering teams who are scaling up data integration within the Bank.

• Involved in Building and designing solutions in middle-ware components such as KAFKA, Spring boot micro service, Ngnix API & PEGA for the organization
• Review existing solutions and technical standards based on new technologies for opportunities to improve.
• Consistent drive for personal development and the development of others in the ING Engineering community.
• Use a pragma lotic approach to implement technical standards amongst the engineering teams.
