This is a voluntary summer position.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Valid California Credential authorizing service as a school administrator or appropriate interim credentialling
Show knowledge of district procedures and administrative policies
Exhibit leadership and communication skills with students, staff, parents, and community
Display efficient organizational and management skills
Selected candidates are expected to commit to the program for the duration of the assignment. Offer and continuation of employment is dependent upon level of student enrollment and attendance. Notice of employment will be sent to the selected candidate
Responsibilities:
Support summer staff to create a positive, achievement-oriented, and structured environment that motivates and supports students.
- Hire staff in accordance with summer hiring policies
- Follow operational timelines as indicated on Summer Principal Website
- Attend a Summer Ops and master schedule workshop and create a master schedule in AERIES before the start of Summer School
- Recruit and enroll students for summer learning,
- Collaborate with Community Partners/Lead Agencies regarding program planning and student recruitment and enrollment.
- Conduct a cycle of observation/feedback for every teacher.
- Support Special Education classrooms on the summer campus.
- Serve as a role model, modeling best practices, caring and respect.
