Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA), ETC (Electrical Technical Center) Electrical Design organization has an exciting opportunity for a Principle Wiring Design and Installation Engineer (level 5) in Everett, WA.
This position will assist us to define the future of commercial aerospace with innovative ideas that advance or culture of safety and quality that our customers, the flying public, expect.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 10+ years of experience in an engineering role.
  • 10+ years of experience managing engineering projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience in Computer aided design (CAD) tools are a plus.
  • Experience working in a cross functional team environment and have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CATIA V5.

TYPICAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

PAY IS BASED UPON CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS, AS WELL AS MARKET AND BUSINESS CONSIDERATIONS.

  • Summary pay range: $157,250 - $212,750

Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance in the development of cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
  • Provides guidance in the development of electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs.
  • Provides direction used by multiple teams to analyze complex results and performs design reviews.
  • Provides guidance in engineering design disposition on discrepancies. Defines processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
  • Provides direction used by multiple teams to develop complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets.
  • Directs the technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
  • Directs the development of functional and physical design requirements to ensure complete integrated design architecture.
  • Works under consultative direction.
