You’re a senior civil engineer with ambitions to continue growing your career and take the leap into leadership. You’re already managing clients and your own projects. You have your own ideas and thoughts, and you want to turn them into reality. However, your current employer is already well-established. They already have a leader, and future development pathways seem a long way away!
Perhaps you’re fantastic technically, and you love dealing with people, however, because you’re not a ‘business development person’, you’ve been overlooked for a promotion.
Or, you’re already an experienced associate civil engineer. You’re doing all the work! You’re doing business development, managing projects, recruiting, and training the team, and making the business money! But you’re not getting the reward for it.

Our client is an engineering consultancy that is making big waves in the civil and structural space. As of today, they are small-medium business, currently with a team of 40 engineers and drafters. They offer Structural Engineering, Façade Engineering and Civil Engineering services.
Their management team are group of entrepreneurial and ambitious team. They are working towards building our team to twice the current size over the next 2 years. They are looking to recruit a Principal civil engineer who has been waiting for an opportunity to lead. To build something from the ground up, put their own stamp on things, and be rewarded professionally and financially for their efforts. With support of course!
The projects are mainly on significant multi-rise residential and mixed-use buildings at the moment, however do also a mix of other projects such as schools, aged care, industrial, adaptive reuse, etc. and would include the design and master planning of subdivisions, land and earthworks, minor roads and pavements, stormwater drainage and WSUD.
