POSITION OVERVIEW

The Privacy Deputy Lead will work as a part of the Privacy Program team in support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Information Assurance project.

EDUCATION AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • SECRET clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • 3 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting the Privacy Lead in all matters related to data privacy within the organization.
  • Responsible for monitoring data protection compliance and advocating for privacy best practices.
  • Collaborating with the Privacy Lead to update and/or implement privacy policies across the organization.
  • Reviewing privacy risk assessments to identify areas of risk and advising on appropriate measures to mitigate those risks.
  • Acting as a liaison between the organization and regulatory authorities and accrediting bodies in matters related to data privacy.
  • Providing recommendations to update employee privacy training and providing guidance on privacy matters.
  • Assisting with privacy reporting and accountability and keeping up to date with new privacy regulations and guidelines and recommending adjustments to policies and procedures as required.
  • Ensure that the organization’s data protection policies adhere to best practices while reducing risks and supporting overall business objectives.
  • Resource must be able to be on site 4 days of the week during transition with opportunity to change frequency depending on team need after transition.
