Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Private Banker in our Private Banking & Wealth team - this role is responsible for providing high net wealth clients with tailored advice to manage, grow and preserve their assets. These positions foster one to one relationships with clients and require capabilities in relationship management and extensive personal banking knowledge.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?
As a Private Banker, you will be responsible for the management, growth and retention of a set of Private Bank clients. Your role will build a thorough understanding of each client’s financial requirements and understand your clients’ needs and risk profile to ensure positive customer outcomes.
You will develop new business through your own personal network, as well as working collaboratively with colleagues to following up on referrals and developing existing client relationships. It is important for you to collaborate with key stakeholders and colleagues to ensure your client’s service experience is consistent across the bank and service to highest level.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Excellent Relationship management & business development experience
  • Advanced communication, presentation & networking skills
  • Financial Advisers Regime - Authorised Financial Adviser required qualification (set standards within National Certificate in Financial Services Level 5, or other approved relevant qualification)
  • Previous experience in banking (5+yrs) with in depth knowledge of financial markets
  • Knowledge of transactional banking, commercial lending and judgmental credit process
  • Demonstrated experience as a trusted relationship banker who is able to represent clients’ interests and evolving needs
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills is required
  • Strong focus on compliance, attention to detail & flawless execution is required
