JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior Accountant will work closely with the Fund Controller and be responsible for providing accounting services including review of financial statement and supporting schedules and work papers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
3 - 5 years accounting/finance experience
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel is a must
Strong working knowledge of financial statements
Ability to review open work and produce timely and accurate records
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results

Responsibilities:

Responsible for accurate and timely reporting across private equity funds, including: monthly performance estimates, allocations, waterfalls and fund returns.
Aid in cash management forecasts and budgets.
Maintain financial oversight for designated fund and special purposed financial records prepared by various 3rd party administrators.
Support in reconciliation of monthly servicer remittance reporting.
Review management fee calculations.
Coordinate with audit and tax professionals in year-end audit and tax reporting.
Prepare new reconciliations on an ad-hoc basis and continually look to improve existing procedures.
Assist with SEC or other regulatory compliance as required.
Oversight of portfolio investment companies.
Review cash and position reconciliations and assist in resolving any breaks.
Review cash transfer/wire instructions for trade settlement and ad hoc wires.
Assist in oversight of junior accounting staff
