Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage document and data collection for investment transaction and valuation processes.
  • Monitor cash and custody activity for multiple funds involving complex private equity fund structures and process transactions related to investment capital calls, capital distributions, fund level expenses, and internal transfers.
  • Reconcile daily bank statements and ensure that all necessary documentation has been accounted for prior to submittal for review.
  • Prepare and/or review general ledger journal entries.
  • Monitor internal systems for proper settlement of all Foreign Exchange (FX) and US Dollar (USD) transactions.
  • Prepare and/or process cash projection reporting.
  • Maintain the Investment NAV processing and overall entity checks.
  • Preparation of scheduled and ad-hoc investment performance and analytical reporting.
  • Work closely with inter-departmental Custodial, Operations, and Fund Accounting teams to ensure compliance with the fund/investment legal documents and complex fund structures.
  • Interact with external Investment Managers and General Partners detailing specific inquiries as needed and providing requested information.
  • Report discrepancies that arise in a prompt and professional manner to managers, ensuring follow up and reconciliation in a timely manner.
  • During the course of day-to-day operations, employees may observe unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity. The specific scenarios and escalation methods are detailed in the relevant procedures and employees are required to follow these procedures ensuring that they identify unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and escalate appropriately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related coursework preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Deadline orientated with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Good time management skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Seeks assistance with unfamiliar or difficult situations which may expose the bank to a loss.
  • Familiarity with MS application.
  • Investran and Geneva knowledges are an asset.
