How you make a difference:
The role of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Telehealth involves providing remote patient care services and utilizing various telecommunication technologies to assist in patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans while working under the guidance of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in assessing and planning individualized treatment programs under RN supervision.
  • Implements treatment programs, including medication administration and diagnostic tests, following established protocols and safety procedures.
  • Participates in emergency responses and assists with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed.
  • Implements nutrition and therapeutic diet plans as ordered by the Health Care Practitioner.
  • Documents nursing encounters and communicates necessary information to nursing staff and other personnel.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience

  • Prefer a minimum of one (1) year correctional healthcare experience or
  • A minimum of one (1) year clinical experience.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
