JOB SUMMARY

The Process and Functional Engineering Manager will be responsible for delivery of technical, operational, and strategic objectives through management of a team of Process and functional engineers.
This position will manage and develop this functional engineering group for with a focus on Cheese Branded Prcoessing Units (BPU), Branded Processing Systems (BPS) and Cheese Lines. You will be responsible for driving common processes and tools as well as ensuring the alignment with the global process strategies. You will provide support in regard to quoting, designing, implementing, sales support for this function within Business Stream Cheese.
Preferred location for this position; Olsztyn-Poland, Lund-Sweden, Madison/Winsted-USA, Heerenveen, Netherlands, High Wycombe United Kingdom.
You will be travelling up to 20% of your time to our customer sites or other Tetra Pak offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of engineers delivering excellent process design specification and drawings on complex standardised and customised BPU, BPS, lines and solutions.
  • Take lead and provide expert support in process and/or Functional Engineering area to customers and colleagues.
  • Understand the role of Functional Engineering and improve the maturity of the team in this area.
  • Competance mapping and development planning for the team will be a key part of the role.
  • Collaborate with other fuctional managers, cross organisation to get work togther and define, adopt best practices.
  • Pro-actively lead and communicate within the team and outside the team.
  • Support in breaking down and plan the project into phases relevant from the process, functional engineering and fulfill the plan and project milestones in time and in full according to budget.
  • Manage scope changes and ensure that the team are aware of how to operate with changes within a project.
  • Develop and improve processes, templates and tools.
  • Develop and maintain a high performing team.
  • Act as a mentor and train others within and outside Tetra Pak.
