The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science or related field; equivalent work experience or education will be considered. The individual should have 2 years of direct management or supervisor experience. In addition, knowledge of analytical package testing methodology and problem solving skills with the ability to clearly communicate results. This individual should have understanding of packaging material capabilities, application, and equipment. Lastly, this candidate would have a positive, can-do attitude and be a cheer leader for our people, culture, company and products.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implements
  • Supports OFD by providing expertise in experimental design, process development, and packaging spec development
  • Develops packaging specs in coordination with both internal and external OFD partners.
  • Support Manufacturing and Engineering in equipment design and optimization.
  • Knowledge
  • Development and implement packaging procedures, testing and standards
  • Leads and supports plant trials for the OFD Food Business.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of packaging materials, principles and operating systems for OFD to acts as the subject matter expert. Prepares detailed material specifications in collaboration with Supply Chain to provide on-going material and vendor qualification standards and process
