Job Summary
We are looking for an individual with strong leadership skills who can lead a team that strives for excellence, achieves results, and makes those around them better. You will report to the VP Post Collections and work directly with the Post Collection team. You will be responsible for the developing, analyzing and implementation to optimize inventory levels for production and to allow optimum utilization of machinery, materials, and resources.

What You Will Achieve in This Role?

  • Recommend and plan plant layouts and facilities.
  • Study new machinery and facilities and recommend or select efficient combinations.
  • Develop flexible or integrated processing systems and procedures.
  • Conduct studies and implement programs to determine optimum inventory levels for production and to allow optimum utilization of machinery, materials and resources.
  • Analyze costs of production
  • Design, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programs.
  • Develop performance standards, evaluation systems and wage and incentive programs.
  • Conduct studies of the reliability and performance of plant facilities and production or administrative systems
  • In coordination with the Maintenance Manager, develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs.
  • Supervise plant and administrative staff as directed.
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • May set up machines and equipment.
  • Do special projects as directed by the VP.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Industrial Engineer degree in process and production.
  • 7+ years related experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with 3+ years in leadership role.
  • Proven experience optimizing production.
  • Knowledge of commonly used practices and equipment used in manufacturing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be familiar with quality and lean principles.
  • Strong project management, analytical and multitasking skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A team player who thrives on collaborating cross functionally and building relationships
  • A committed work ethic with enthusiasm for working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt behaviour and thrive through change
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite of products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
