Job Summary:
The goal of Automation Engineering is to reduce manual tasks and the associated load while improving efficiency with greater levels of reliability, and to use technology to streamline manual processes that are redundant or inconsistent.
As a Process Automation Engineer, you will use modern Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools, software delivery tools, docker containers, programming languages, and release automation systems to empower our applications to respond to rapid growth. The Process Automation Engineer will work in a transformation team documenting software functionality, working on development frameworks, and debugging web-based applications. The Process Automation Engineer will utilize infrastructure as code, post-mortem meetings, and best DevOps practices.
This position is a remote position with home office set up as determined by management.

Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement new automation programs and processes in a DevOps/Agile environment
  • Maintain and improve the performance of existing automation programs with CI/CD methodologies and tools
  • Define, configure, and validate backup processes for entire application or individual components (i.e., MySQL/MariaDB, Cassandra, MSSQL, etc.), as well as entire infrastructure deployments
  • Collaborate with different teams and be responsible for multiple tasks and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code testing, validation, deployment, and performance
  • Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes associated with a release
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines), utilizing the best practices in continuous integration
  • Optimize our products’ computing architecture to maximize the utilization of resources
  • Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve
  • Understand and translate Process design into solution design
  • Work with business IT teams to analyze, evaluate and recommend design alternatives
  • Design and develop robotic components including process flows, control objects, exception handling, notifications etc.
  • Configuration and maintenance of bots through version control
  • Prototyping and implementation of enhancements, control and tuning of pre-built automation processes
  • Perform end to end testing of the bots to ensure quality and meet defined SLAs
  • Support all applications development effort involving RPA tools
  • Develop test scenarios and test scripts for the bots
  • Preparation of key deliverables such as design documents, test documentation, training materials and administration/procedural guides.
  • Work in large teams developing and delivering solutions to support large scale data management platforms following Agile methodology

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Strong Experience with RPA, OO scripting (Python/GoLang)
  • Hands on experience on AA360 and IQ Bot
  • Should have built automations for different applications like windows, web, outlook, office 365 etc.
  • Experience in control room activities
  • Good Understanding on project architecture and technical design/solution
  • Working knowledge of VB Scripting
  • Should have experience in integrating the RPA tool with external applications using DLLs or other APIs as required
  • Experience building / deploying Docker/Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) and/or YAML data models
  • Version control experience using Git or other SCM (Software Configuration Management) software
  • Experience using monitoring tools and monitoring applications in production environments (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Good understanding of general CI/CD paradigms (e.g., GitOps)

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Understand capabilities and limitations of mobile, web, and desktop operating systems and environments
  • Experience using and administering AWS S3, GitHub/Gitlab/Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with automating the deployment of infrastructure (e.g., Terraform, CF/ARM Templates, or similar)
  • Experience with various code repository and artifact storage solutions
  • Ability to effectively participate in cross-department efforts
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale projects
  • Automation Tools Experience: (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Redfish)
  • Cloud Certification with AWS, Azure, GCP cloud
