About the role
An exciting opportunity within our OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnoea) Masks Process Development Team.
This process development engineering role is an opportunity to apply your knowledge and ability to innovate to solve real-world problems in medical device manufacturing. The role will develop your equipment design, documentation writing & interpersonal skills allowing you to gain important industry and professional knowledge whilst working along-side experienced engineers as your mentors.
In this role you will collaborate with other engineers to establish manufacturing requirements for our OSA products, and then follow through to design, fabricate, assemble and commission new equipment. Throughout the process you will need to document and test your design to demonstrate how it will meet the manufacturing requirements.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A formal engineering qualification (ideally majoring in mechanical or mechatronics)
- 0-3 years of work experience (ideally with skills which are transferable or were learned in the medical manufacturing sector)
- Familiarity with CAD (ideally SolidWorks)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Practical hands-on ability (prototyping, CNC machining, moulding, extrusion, etc.)
- Foundational knowledge of statistics
- Competence with time management, prioritisation and working to deadlines
- Proficiency in technical report writing – clear documentation is a key part of medical device manufacturing
- Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft; Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- A willingness to learn new skills
