We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Development Scientist to join our Synthetic Molecules Technical Development team (PTDC) based in Basel. This is a 2 year fixed term position.
The Synthetic Molecules Technical Development (PTDC) team is in charge of developing the technical aspects of synthetic pipeline molecules and producing the Drug Substance and Drug Product for clinical trials. They have extensive expertise in Drug Substance, Drug Product, and analytical sciences. PTDC works closely with partners in Research and Early Development (pRED / gRED) and the synthetic molecules commercial manufacturing network.
Responsibilities:
- Process development of peptide manufacturing processes focusing on synthesis. Expertise in chromatography and membrane filtration is an advantage.
- Development of cost efficient and robust processes and delivering thorough process understanding by using state of the art science and methodologies to enable lean manufacturing.
- Leading a team of associates in a matrix organization to design and develop manufacturing processes.
- Working in an interdisciplinary matrix team with scientists from analytics, and manufacturing, process engineering, and microbiology. Coordination of drug substance related activities and representation of DS team in project team
- Evaluation of data using state of the art statistical tools and/or applying advanced process modeling.Authoring of scientific reports, patent applications, and regulatory documents.
