Embark on a rewarding career path with our R&D Process Development team as a Process Development Technologist. This position is designed for individuals with a technical background eager to contribute to a science-based, mission-driven organization. This position is a critical support role requiring an analytical mind and keen, detailed observation. As a team advance how semiconductor manufacturing is done. You will develop and refine skills in conducting complex data, as well as straightforward, analyses in this role.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or repairing products following specific instructions
  • Candidates with demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and presenting statistical data are preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational capabilities and excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
  • An inquisitive mindset with the ability to discern trends in data.
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to work under minimal supervision post-training.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and a positive outlook.
  • Some flexibility in work hours to complete critical experiments as needed.

EDUCATION:

  • A Technical Diploma in Science/Engineering is required, with a preference for candidates holding degrees in Physics, Chemistry, or Nanotechnology.
    Salary Range: $55,000-70,000 CAD

Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Operation and Prototyping:
  • Operate a variety of semiconductor fabrication equipment, including etching, photolithography, deposition, and metrology tools.
  • Engage in prototype production activities, documenting observations and ensuring accurate data entry into databases and logs.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Perform basic process metric data analysis.
  • Utilize statistical analysis tools to report results to the scientific staff clearly and concisely.
  • Process Development Support:
  • Aid Process Engineers in developing new process steps for the fabrication of our sensors, contributing data to inform conclusions.
  • Execute experiments efficiently, leveraging an understanding of the experimental objectives and our fabrication processes.
  • Troubleshooting and Team Collaboration:
  • Assist in identifying and troubleshooting fabrication process issues.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
  • Safety and Additional Duties:
  • Maintain vigilance on safety issues, reporting any concerns immediately.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support the team’s objectives.
