Description:

Wood is currently seeking a Process EIT in Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB to expand our team within the Oil & Gas Canada business. The successful candidate will be engaged in projects across several areas including oil and gas (upstream, midstream, downstream), energy transition and petrochemical industries.
We are seeking Process EIT’s with the drive and commitment to make a genuine difference to our performance across the full life cycle of projects, including study phase, DBM, FEED and Detailed Design. Wood continues to differentiate itself from its competitors by delivering quality projects to meet our client’s requirements and expectations. Applicants with strong technical and communication skills, and technical safety experience in the above industries, should apply.

  • Use fundamental process engineering knowledge to complete process engineering deliverables and tasks.
  • Help to develop process simulations and heat and material balances.
  • Conduct process equipment and line sizing and optimize process control strategy to support PFD and P&ID development.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Perform process engineering activities in accordance with industry codes, standards and guidelines, and client specifications.
  • Coordinate with workshare offices.
  • Develop technical skills and keep updated on new technologies in industry.
  • Currently registered or eligible for registration with APEGA.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Some exposure or experience in the refining, petrochemicals or oil & gas industries is an asset.
  • Working ability in HYSYS and/or ProMax is an asset.
  • Must be able to conduct hydraulics.
  • Working ability in AFT Fathom/Arrow is an asset.
  • Strong written and oral communication (English) skills.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
  • PHA experience is an asset.
