Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Intermediate Municipal Water/Wastewater Process Engineer for full-time employment based in the Markham, ON office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Design a variety of multi-disciplinary municipal water and/or wastewater projects including studies, engineering design, design reports, approvals, contract administration, and warranty services.
  • Support the production of engineered drawings including review and approval of final design
  • Perform and review engineering design calculations in support of design packages.
  • Prepare detailed contract specifications including equipment selection and liaison with equipment suppliers and vendors.
  • Consistently deliver on each project to achieve top-tier industry benchmarks for quality and overall project delivery.
  • Participate in business development activities including the development of proposal submissions.
  • Effectively maintain and develop healthy client relationship throughout the project execution and project close-out.
  • Create a team environment that supports AECOM’s Client focus, where employees meet the expectations, requirements, and agreements of our Clients.
  • Define the project quality requirements. Ensure compliance with AECOM and Client quality policies and procedures.
  • Provide mentoring and technical support of junior staff.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Process Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience working with municipal Water/Wastewater infrastructure
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible within 6-12months
  • Process engineering knowledge and application to water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Proficient in common desktop packages, i.e. Word, Excel, MS Project

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 6+ years of Design / Construction experience in Water/Wastewater infrastructure
  • Interest/experience with Project management
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Motivated, team player, independent, organized with strong business acumen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
