Description:

This position will be a 1-year assignment from start date.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing process development and engineering best practices to optimize manufacturing processes for new equipment introductions and drive transformative process improvements in existing processes.
We are looking for a candidate who can work independently and function well within a team

EDUCATION

  • Engineering, any specialty
  • Masters in Science is recommendable.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering is required.
  • The ability to collaborate with all levels of management in a cross-functional team environment is required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
  • Must have strong analytical problem-solving skills and professional judgment required to resolve major technical issues.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Medical Device, Consumer or Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
  • Develops process documentation and training materials for Processes.
  • Communicates and monitors process and financial target
  • Knowledge of FDA, BSI (European), ISO and/or GMP regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Experience in Process Excellence/Six Sigma is preferred.
  • Project management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct and direct engineering projects or studies, including complete projects requiring advanced knowledge of a specialized field.
  • Apply comprehensive and diverse knowledge of engineering principles and practices within broad assignment areas.
  • Coordinate and direct activities of technical support staff (salary and wage) and will be responsible for technical development of assigned staff.
  • Track and trend data, identify and implement process improvements to improve business measures.
  • Identifies, designs and develops the necessary equipment.
  • Performs material tests.
  • Studies the processes to implement improvements.
  • Responsible for preparing and managing specifications.
  • Assists technicians and engineers about unusual problems.
  • Responsible for purchasing and designing equipment that meets
  • Safety and environment requirements.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental
  • Practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company Regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed
