Description:

SUMMARY

The Broken Arrow Engineering department is responsible for providing the detail engineering and design required to fabricate Gas Processing and Treating facilities and equipment. The Engineering department is made up of all disciplines required for this effort. Typical equipment designs include mechanical refrigeration units, fractionation trains, cryogenic plants, amine systems, molecular sieve, and other systems found in the midstream market.
The Broken Arrow Engineering team includes highly skilled, motivated engineers that are adept at problem solving and offer exposure to the latest technology in the oil, gas and petrochemical markets. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • 5 years of related experience, prefer experience in the gas processing industry or in companies that interact with that industry
  • Ability to develop process simulations using HYSYS, ProMax, or similar software.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Knowledge of product mechanical design, thermodynamics, chemical processing, and instrumentation & controls.
  • Time management skills including multi-tasking competing priorities as needed.
  • Ability to generate alternative solutions.
  • Being customer-centered and able to maintain satisfied customer and vendor relationships.
  • Desire and ability to resolve technical problems
  • Desire and ability to continue learning
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and team oriented, capable of learning, managing time, priorities, and operating well under pressure with little supervision.

Responsibilities:

The Process Engineering group is focused on producing the process deliverables required to fully design and fabricate the natural gas processing and treating equipment.

The Process Engineer is expected to perform the following:

  • Deliver roles and responsibilities as defined, be responsible for on time, on quality, and on budget engineering deliverables. Reporting to discipline manager.
  • Preparation, review and approval of design and detail engineering, review of specifications, calculations, contract documents as applicable to projects and proposals.
  • Ensuring deliverables with required engineering details that meet international standards, organization standards and customer standards as applicable.
  • Lead project decisions and discussions in its own discipline, guiding teams of the third-party engineers and Enerflex teams
  • Support and collaborate on generation and development of department goals and objectives

The Process Engineer will receive the Engineering Hand Off package from the Application Engineering team and is responsible for maintaining it throughout the project life cycle. Once a Project kicks off, the Process Engineer is responsible for the following:

  • Major Equipment Datasheets
  • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Line sizing lists
  • Relief Valve Calculations and Datasheets
  • Cause and Effect matrices
  • Control narratives
  • Operating Manuals
  • Participate in HAZIP, HAZOP, SIL and other safety reviews along with clients.
  • Conducts risk assessments as per project requirement
  • Assess vendor packages for project requirements’ compliance
  • Any other process deliverables required based on project expectations
