Job Purpose and Impact
The Process Engineer applies engineering techniques to assist in the improvement of manufacturing processes and products. In this role, you will provide technical support, operational experience, continuous improvement and project management skills in a production environment that ensures safe, efficient and low-cost plant operations.
The position implies an initial limited working contract for 1.5 years. Key Accountabilities
Active participation & support of continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence initiatives
Defining, initiating and executing of energy and yield improvement projects (High Performance Innovation) and support of DNPSS (Develop New Products, Services and Solutions) projects
Provide guidance and support to the KPI reporting and performance analysis and contribute to improve the financial performance of the production environment
Use lean & six sigma methods to identify and implement sustainable solutions
Coordination of daily activities and major plant stops
Being responsible for a dedicated production area in terms of performance tracking, process optimization and process safety
Coordination of activities with other departments (maintenance, logistics, EHS, QC, engineering)
Provides knowledge and resolves technical issues within projects
Collaborates with functional experts (MTLs) to implement best practices
Commissioning and start-up support to operations
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Process / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering) or equivalent experience Demonstrated work experience in engineering in a production environment English and German language knowledge (Medium - B2 level)
Preferred Qualifications Experience with lean six sigma tools Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications User Knowledge in Plant IT software (PI, PCS7) Knowledge in Root Cause analyses (for example 5 Why, RCA)
