We are seeking a highly skilled and detailed oriented Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Process Engineer at Molded Dimensions, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and enhancing our plastics injection molding processes. From product development to production, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficiency, quality and continuous improvement. Experience in plastics injection molding and troubleshooting preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Use scientific molding tools to establish processes for new tools and troubleshoot existing issues
- Lead process related validation protocol efforts for new programs
- Hands-on process troubleshooting
- Regularly audit adherence to established processes
- Examine drawings provided by customer to verify manufacturability before quoting/production begins
- Work closely with production operators, supervisors, and other functional teams on continuous improvement projects
- Lead continuous improvement projects for existing processes
- Champion tool testing process for new and existing tools
- Troubleshoot mold repairs/upgrades with tooling department as needed
- Confer with equipment vendors as needed
- Provide technical process support to programs from development through production handoff
- Complete project handoff by training and guiding operators/technicians as required for production success
- Adhere to all existing company policies

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably plastics)
- Minimum 2 years experience in injection molding
- Experience with AS9100 is desirable
- Experience with automation solutions
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Depth of hands-on knowledge
- Robot programming experience
- IQMS experience is desirable
