Description:
A leading company in the mining industry is seeking a Process Engineer to enhance their operations. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in process engineering, specifically in a mining or mineral processing environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor"s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial setting (lime, cement, or minerals processing industry preferred).
- Experience in project management from conception to completion.
- PLC programming and automation skills are advantageous.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards software is a plus.
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
- Bilingual in French and English.

Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
- Lead various technical aspects within the plant, including capital project management and process improvements focusing on safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Involved in various stages of production like calcination, combustion, hydration, slaking, crushing, screening, storage, and handling of lime/limestone.
- Strong commitment to safety, open and honest communication, and effective teamwork.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uphold highest safety, efficiency, and quality control standards.
- Manage the Process Optimization Program (POP) in collaboration with the team.
- Engage in cross-functional teams to enhance plant technical knowledge and process efficiency.
- Plan, manage, and execute capital projects.
- Stay updated with technological advancements in the lime industry..
- Participate in process measurements and perform heat and mass balances.
- Act as a relief supervisor and perform on-call duties in rotation with the management team
