If this sounds appealing to you, then consider our Process Project Manager - Water-Wastewater opportunity. The position is based in Irvine, CA.
The successful candidate for this position will provide engineering services for the water/wastewater group. Typical projects include a wide variety of municipal water/wastewater projects involving collection and conveyance systems, pump stations, storage and treatment facilities, and rehabilitation. This position is part of a team that specializes in the engineering of public water systems to upgrade aging infrastructure, provide sustainable solutions, and offer innovative approaches to help preserve safe and reliable water delivery for California. A strong interest in potable water, recycled water and/or wastewater infrastructure is desired.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required, Master’s preferred
  • 10+ years of related engineering work experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in California required, or able to obtain within 6 months
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
  • Experience with management of projects, design submittals, and construction management
  • Possess excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Background will ideally include project work and process knowledge of water/wastewater facilities projects with municipal, state, and water districts

Responsibilities:

  • Water/wastewater infrastructure project management, to include water and wastewater treatment, distribution and transmission mains, wastewater collection, trunk and force main, pumping stations, wells, storage tanks, civil grading, drainage, as well as rehabilitation of existing infrastructure
  • Duties include client coordination, budget control, quality control, and staff coordination
  • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, detailed engineering reports and documents
  • Plan, evaluate, and select preferred alternatives
  • Perform design calculations and analyses
  • Provide construction support services such as bid evaluations, plan clarifications, review shop drawings, prepare operations and maintenance manuals, review monthly progress reports, and evaluate change order requests
  • Participate in business development activities including proposal preparation and client interviews
