Description:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Process Technician (Pumping) to work out of our Mill Green Sewage Treatment Works Site.
As a successful candidate, your role will be to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair as appropriate, mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment, in a safe efficient timely and effective manner with minimum supervision.
As the Process Technician, you will find that no working day is the same. This will provide a very interesting, challenging, and rewarding working environment. and you will receive full training and support for the Health & Safety, technical and process requirements related to the role.
Although you will be based at Mill Green - Hatfield due to the nature of the role you will be expected to travel in the surrounding area. to cover other pumping station sites.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS THE PROCESS TECHNICIAN

  • Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.
  • Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to ensure on-site operational and health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Attending reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
  • Keeping sites clean and tidy and undertaking safety and security checks.
  • Always working safely and complying with all Health and Safety guidance and procedures.
  • Base Location: Mill Green - Hatfield however due to the nature of the role you will be expected to travel in the surrounding area.
  • Working Pattern or hours: 38 Hours Monday-Friday Plus the inclusion onto a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment.

  • Be a self-motivated individual who can immerse themselves into the team around them, you need to be very disciplined have the desire to learn from those around you and have a can-do attitude. This role can be demanding at times but very rewarding too.

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to interact with the team.

  • Proactive – take the lead on recommendations and improvements around the site and communicate effectively.
  • Must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures.
  • Knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards.
  • Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is essential.
