Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Procurement Agent (Experienced or Senior) to join our MRO Site Support Services procurement team for our on-site representative in Jacksonville, FL to work with supply base providers for goods and services. Strong knowledge in US Government Prime Contracts of high value procurements, subcontract management and background in services, support services and strategic agreements will be a key for success in this new position.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of Procurement experience
  • 5+ years of experience interacting with customers or suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals
  • 5+ years of experience with negotiating, documenting and contracting for products, services and/or technologies
  • 5+ years of Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working both independently and in team environments
  • 5+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 10+ years’ of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • Experience in US-Government, FAR-compliant proposals
  • Experience drafting, negotiating and executing contracts and subcontracts.
  • Experience with contracts/subcontracts including overarching/strategic agreements
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in a self-directed role
  • Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE/:

Experienced:
Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Senior:
Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as subject matter expert to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
  • Negotiates and contracts for products, services and technologies.
  • Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Engages stakeholders to ensure that program, customer, product and in-service strategies are integrated into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
  • Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions.
  • Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
  • Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Optimizes execution of the supply chain balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand.
  • Manages supplier/subcontractor performance and relationship to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and in-service performance.
  • Mitigates risks and issues.
  • Initiates supplier improvement activities and provides results for integration into contracting strategies.
  • Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
  • Trains/mentors early career peers.
  • Traveling: maximum up to 5% of work time
