Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Procurement Analyst will use their understanding of sourcing and contracting practices to influence internal and external stakeholders in executing value-adding procurement activities. The Procurement Analyst will support the contract owner in applying post-award contract management principles for optimised risk management and value creation strategies. In addition, this role will contribute to innovative approaches to find future potential suppliers who can contribute to achieving Origin’s strategy.

WHY THE ROLE MATTERS?

  • Support the development and implementation of a strategic sourcing framework to support the business units and functions in value creation, implementation, and sustainment.
  • Responsible for making decisions in line with framework and associated processes required to provide sourcing outcomes for the business.
  • Responsible for the uplift of sourcing strategy and service requests across all business units and functions to improve outcomes and value creation opportunities.
  • Contributing to monthly value realisation metrics across sourcing activities completed as part of the Procurement Insight Dashboard.
  • Influence and assist the business units and functions to build effective and value-adding sourcing strategies and commercial propositions for their specific category(ies).
  • Efficient and effective execution of sourcing activity to enable outcomes aligned with the business unit definition of value.
  • Responsible for promoting leading practice enablers to support value creation, implementation, and sustainment.
