Our client is in the education industry, employing a best-in-class procurement team. They are currently seeking an experienced procurement professional with a broad base of exposure to end-to-end category management, strategic procurement and ideally with a facilities management or construction portfolio.

YOUR NEW ROLE

Working in conjunction with the procurement team, the Category Manager will be responsible for providing a broad degree of support across the facilities and construction projects.

Key roles and responsibilities of the position will include:

• Development and implementation of service tools which will be tailored for all internal clients to streamline procurement processes
• Manage bids and the sourcing process, including tenders, RFPs and RFQs
• Establishing category management plans for the facilities management and construction categories, applying the best practice, outlining how agreements and opportunities will be implemented and managed to ensure maximum benefits
• Reviewing and assessing supplier performance in accordance with contractual obligations, Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
• Providing reports to management, with details on strategic benefits, actionable opportunities, and issues.
