EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum 4-8 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable theories, practices and accepted procedures in contract administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidential information.
  • Advanced proficiency with applicable Contract Management software applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Recommends innovative program and/or program solutions.
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to guide department personnel in partnership with and during manager’s absence is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Corporate Supply Chain and Small Projects Team
  • Review customer contracts to identify risks and ensure conformity to Company policy.
  • Draft agreements for engineering, procurement management, and construction management projects.
  • Propose alternative text/clauses to agreements contracts, as appropriate for the Company business.
  • Liaise with legal, accounting, and other disciplines to ensure process and policy requirements are met prior to submission to management for approval.
  • Perform all contract formation duties including prequalification of bidders, solicitation of proposals, proposal evaluations, source selection recommendations, negotiation of contract terms and conditions, conformance, formation and execution.
  • Initiate and closeout back charges, notices and claims.
  • Facilitate all commercial meetings with third parties to ensure terms, conditions and contractual obligations are understood and executed in a manner that meets cost and schedule requirements.
  • Interface on key execution matters with focus on issues which may necessitate revisions to contract.
  • Interface and align with overall contract price budget and performance reporting.
  • Perform ongoing contract post-award administration duties, including change management, contractual compliance, performance evaluation, closeout of agreements, and records retention.
  • Verification of contractor time sheets and invoices for accuracy prior to issuance to accounting for payment.
  • Regularly interface with departmental staff, upper management, and outside customers.
