We’re looking for an enthusiastic procurement specialist. This position is part of the procurement team, consisting of 10 people, reporting directly to our procurement supervisor. You will be working for a certain supplier portfolio, and we offer room for growth in this position and within a company. You will support new product introductions(NPI) procurement, you will request quotations for newly released items, you will support procurement projects, reporting and analyses. In these improvement projects you will be acting as international stakeholder. An example of a recent project has been the global introduction of an automated purchase order creation process.

EDUCATION:

  • High school or University in related field

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in purchasing or logistics for a manufacturing company
  • ERP experience, QAD a strong plus
  • Excel data analysis, including v-lookups and pivot tables

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • The ability to summarize information, analyze the problem and find the effective solution
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP
  • English - spoken and written level
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Multitasking skills with good organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Process non-standard purchase orders for assigned products
  • Prepare and communicate the requests for quotation to external suppliers
  • Internal ERP system updates on purchasing attributes
  • Supervise and manage supplier responses
  • Generate defined operational status reporting as required
  • Advise management on leverage points for improvements and other issues
  • Hands on implementation of improvements and changes
