Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) is looking for a Procurement Liaison Manager
Do you have superior communication skills and want to act as a primary point of contact?
Connecting our technical Cruise team based in Oslo and our procurement team in Mumbai. Driving seamless communication and improvements to enable us to ensure achievement of procurement targets. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient procurement processes, and the successful execution of cross-vessel procurement projects.
The ideal candidate will excel in fostering collaborative relationships, monitoring procurement performance, and optimizing procurement practices to achieve our organizational goal of shaping the maritime industry.

What will you work on:

  • Acting as the point of contact between the technical Cruise team in Oslo and the procurement team in Mumbai.
  • Monitoring the procurement performance i.e. Key Performance Indicators.
  • Acting as supplier contact and developing economy-of-scale agreements for cruise-specific items in the new RightProc procurement platform.
  • Managing cross-vessel procurement projects and consolidated Purchase Orders.
  • Monitoring budget performance, and follow-up logistics budgets with freight forwarder(s).
  • Identifying low-value spend items that can potentially be managed by subscriptions/services.
  • Assisting the technical and the procurement team - to procure operational goods as required to be seamlessly delivered.
  • Fostering close collaborative interpersonal relationships with colleagues and building the credibility of the function.

What you need to be successful in the role:

  • 5 – 6 years purchasing experience from the maritime industry or related with significant procurement / logistics exposure.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience in developing economy-of-scale agreements.
  • Familiarity with procurement platforms and tools, particularly RightProc or similar systems.
